The SafetyFirst® Habits of Excellence is a brand new revision to our successful SafetyFirst Behavior Based Safety course. This SafetyFirst train-the-trainer course will help you develop people to use scientific human behavior principles to understand the link between habitual behavior and safe work. Learn the values of sustaining a safety culture by engaging, motivating and reinforcing your employees' safe work habits. Together you can create a work environment where people enjoy coming to work each and every day. We will give you the skills you need to establish safe behaviors at your workplace.
We created SafetyFirst to elevate safety to a core value rather than only a one-off behavior based safety program. This shift in thinking for all executives, managers, supervisors and employees makes safety a part of the organization's safety culture and a shared responsibility for all. SafetyFirst basic training for all employees keeps everyone on the same page.
The SafetyFirst Trainer-of-Trainers course teaches participants how to focus on developing people, as well as how to incorporate different aspects of human behavior to help them understand the link between behavior and safety safety culture. Then, you can go beyond the workplace to making safety a habit both at work and at home.
Who Should Be Involved in SafetyFirst?
CEOs, CFOs, Business Presidents and Division Vice-Presidents will learn the requirements and implementation procedures for a BBS program that delivers actionable results. They will better understand why a upper management commitment is needed, plus resources to execute operations in accordance with our procedures to make your organization successful.
Plant Operations Managers, General Managers and Supervisors will learn why it’s essential to provide time and resources for employees to actively participate as a SafetyFirst trainer or participant, as well as why Habits of Excellence are ultimately more effective than behavior punishments in the guise of "observations."
EHS, HR and Quality personnel will be trained to implement the Behavior Based Safety program by training supervisors and employees, following up on system procedures, giving support, providing guidance and assisting in direction for EHS teams.
Employees will participate in SafetyFirst Habits of Excellence basic behavior based safety training and incorporate the training into their daily routines at work, home and while driving. They will learn to provide feedback and recommendations for improvement to their specific department, task, job or assignment. Make sure your leaders and employees work together safely as well as efficiently. Make the jump from Behavior Based Safety to Habits of Excellence.
