Joe Wheatley helped establish Workplace Learning System (WLS) and its predecessor, EnPro Learning System (ELS), and he leads the management consulting group. Joe has held various leadership positions in manufacturing, engineering and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) within the electronic, semiconductor, biomedical, metal working, plastics and chemical industries. He led EnPro Industries safety programs to a world class level, being a three-time recipient of America’s Safest Company by EHS Today. Joe has been instrumental in development of Workplace Learning System’s cultural development approach, behavior based tools and safety best practices.

Joe is a regular keynote speaker at safety events including the National Safety Council, Manufacturers Alliance, Risk Management Society (RIMS) and other trade organizations, as well as a past advisor on the Liberty Mutual Loss Control advisory board and a current member of the Wells Fargo Insurance Client Advisory Council. He has published articles on safety organizational change and safety culture in prominent publications. Joe received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Florida State University, a M.S. in Environmental Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and an Executive MBA from Queens University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
